File Closure Policy

In keeping with best mental health practices and good ethical protocols a client's file will be closed for the following reasons:

Lack of Inactivity
As we often have a waitlist, we want to ensure that clients are able to access services in a timely fashion. Therefore, if we have not heard from you in more than two (2) months, your file will be closed. You are welcome to reconnect and request services again; however, we cannot guarantee availability of the clinician and you may be placed on a waitlist.

Inconsistent Attendance

Therapy is a commitment to the individuals involved and your clinician. This means that consistency is important to achieving the progress you reached out to us to achieve. Therefore, if there are frequent cancellations or "no shows," it may be an indicator that it is not the right time to pursue therapy.
