Cancellation Policy

At BICAMH, we are committed to increasing access to quality Mental Health services in our country.

As a result, we value your time and the time of all our clients. We thus do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences. As a result, appointments are scheduled in advance at a time reserved specifically for the client.

When clients cancel/miss appointments without sufficient notice, it not only affects the scheduled client, but also the clinician and the other clients following. Late cancellations or no shows (i.e., missing an appointment without cancelling) impact the clinician’s time and our ability to offer that specific time slot to another client in need. However, if provided with sufficient notice we are able to accommodate other clients’ needs during that time slot. Our cancellation policy ensures that equal consideration is given to all.

We now require that, out of respect for the clinician and other clients waiting to be scheduled for a session that all clients call or email us at least 24 hours (1 working day) ahead of the scheduled appointment to make cancellations.

Notifications can be made via phone at 242-356-0039 or sent via email to bicamh@outlook.com. Failure to do this will result in the appointment being classified as a late cancellation. Missing an appointment without cancelling will be classified as a no-show. In both cases, the full session fee ($150.00) will be charged. For new clients (1stappointment), a no show or late cancellation will also result in a full charge of the new client fee ($175.00). Clients will not be refunded for any cancelled or missed appointments and will be charged for all rescheduled sessions.
